The standard CROSS cutting pattern symbolize the m.a+”

Anatomic Silhouette(解剖学的形状)と呼ばれる、人体の構成に基づいて作り上げられたシャープなシルエットを実現する事により、

革が身体の曲線を這うように覆う。
当初は窮屈とも言えるその着心地も、日常の動きの中で次第に自身の身体に馴染み、使用者特有の形状へと変化していく。
よりタイトに着られるよう、ダブルジップとなっており、ライナーには肌触りが良く、伸縮性にも富んだ布帛生地が当てられている。

“The sharp silhouette called Anatomic Silhouette is founded on the construction of the human body.
Therefore, it realizes this tightness as if the leather creeps along the carved bodyline.
It will be adapt to the body in daily movement although it is little tight at first.

袖丈は長く、アームが立体縫製の螺旋状になっている。

2014S/Sの素材は７年振りの復活となる「アニリンカーフ」。

水性の薄い染料を使用している為、原皮の素材感をより一層際立てる事ができるという特徴を持つ。

その為、使用されている素材はカーフの中でも特に傷の少ない上質なレザーが使用される。

つまりアニリン染料を使用した染色は、素材を最も生かす事のできる染色方法と言える。

その柔らかで上質な革の滑らかさは他に類を見ない素晴らしい仕上がりとなっている。

“The material for 2014S/S is Aniline Calf (Aniline Dyed Calf) that is resurrected after an interval of 7 years.
Aniline dye is the specific method to emphasize the quality of rawhide because it is used weak aqueous dye.
Hence, only the scarless high quality calf can be used for the method.
In other words, Aniline Dye Method is the best way to bring out of the leather excellence.
It is not exaggeration to say the high quality soft and smooth touch is unparalleled finishing with others.”

こちらの写真はホースレザーのバックスキンを使用しているもの。
“The piece is made from Horse Backskin on this photo.”

色はMidnight Blue。裏革でありながら毛足が短く光沢感があるその雰囲気がより一層無骨さを際立てる。アニリンカーフとは違いホースレザーは素材が硬く、馴染みが遅い。しかしながら、そこにはホースレザーでしか味わえない独特の皺感や風合いがある。使用者はその無骨な経年変化を、使用する度しっかりと見て取れるだろう。
また袖通しを良くする為に裏地を切り替えているなど、機能性にも富んでいる。

“The color is Midnight Blue.
The hairy legs of the skin are short; moreover there is shiny appearance even if it is back skin leather.

The Horse leather is harder and later adaption to the body comparing to the Aniline Calf.
However, there are specific winkles and atmosphere only horse leather has.

“1 Leather Piece Derby”

その名の通り、一枚革から生み出されたレザーシューズはm.a+の技術を知るには欠かせないアイテムである。

”Namely, the shoe is made by one piece leather and it is a crucial pieces to understand the technique of m.a+.”

特筆すべきはその履き心地である。精巧なカッティングで外羽根のワンピースシューズを実現する事で、シームを最小限に抑える。
結果、足の負担を軽減し、素晴らしい履き心地を実現している。

“Especially, I must state on the comfortableness.The sophisticated cutting realizes seamless derby shoes. As a result, it alleviates burden of feet in movement.”

マッケイ製法特有の納まりの良い奇麗なフォルムでありながらも、
トゥスプリングが高くラストが反り上がっている。
短靴でありながらブーツのボリュームも兼ね備えているそのシルエットバランスの良さも
m.a+が支持される要因の一つであろう。

m.a+のシューズは素材の価値を最大限に生かす為に作業工程をフルハンドメイドで行っている。

丁寧に鞣された上質なレザーは“Hand Dye”「手染め」で仕上げられており、
完成された美しいフォルムを実現している。

素材は牛革、馬革、キャメル、バイソン等多岐に渡るが、
SHELTER2で定番として取り扱っている素材は”VA”と呼ばれる牛革である。写真の素材はそのVAにポリッシュ加工をしているもの。
このVA素材は適度な固さを残しながらも足馴染みが良いという特徴を持っている。
その絶妙なバランスによって生まれる「皺感」や「擦れ」は味わい深く、使用者は独特の経年変化を楽しむ事ができる。

“The all processes of the m.a+ shoe making are executed by hands.

Because of the Hand dye and the high quality tanned leather realizes sophisticated form.

Although it has numeral varieties of material such as cow, horse, camel, bison and so on,
SHELTER2 mainly treats VA the cow leather.
The material of this photo is polished VA material.
It has adequate hardness and good adaption to feet.

その名の通りフライトジャケットをイメージし作られたこのジャケットは初期から続くアイテムであり、
今なお愛されるm.a+の人気モデルとして知られる。

The “AVIATOR” that is namely inspired by the flight jacket has got many props for a long time as popular item of m.a+.

前身頃、後ろ身頃共に主張するのはm.a+ならではの”+” カッティング。
独特の形を見せるフードもAVIATORの魅力である。
フードの特徴的なパターニングが台襟の役割を果たす事で、
一層立体的且つ美しいフォルムを実現している。

Both of the front and the back style insist “＋” by the cutting.
The specific hood shape is also fascination of “AVIATOR”.
The reason why the hood form is steric and beautiful is the pattening.
The characteristic cutting, especially the under parts of the hood have
a role of collar band that realize the beautiful shape.

着丈は短く、タイトフィットではあるが、ダブルジップにする事で
無理なく美しいシルエットで着用する事ができる。
長く取られた袖丈は、袖口で溜めるように着用する。
浅く入ったスリットは程良く手に掛かる丈感をサポートする。

Although the length of the garment is short and the fitting is tight,
it realizes the beautiful silhouette without narrow feeling because of the double zips.
The too long sleeves are gathered on the list.
The slight slits on the edge of sleeves supports the movement of hands.

写真で使用されている素材は「シャイニーリバースバイソン」。
2014-15A/Wにm.a+が最も推奨していたレザーである。
1.3mmという肉厚なバイソンレザーは耐久性が高く、
なんと言ってもその重厚感故の深い着用皺は圧巻である。

裏地にはウール素材の防寒性が高い生地を使用しており、
袖入れし易いよう異素材の生地に切り替えられているという拘りを見せる。

味わい深いブラウンという無骨なカラーリングの表層に施されるのはm.a+定番のシャイニー加工。
使用と共にその光沢感は所々擦り剥がされ、
着用皺や油分のグラデーションも相まって立体的な表情を見せる事となる。
経年変化を楽しむ上で欠かせない要素を全て兼ね備えたレザーであると言っても過言ではないだろう。

The leather on the photo is “Shiny Reverse Bison”.
m.a+ recommend it mostly at 2014-15A/W.
The 1.3mm thick bison leather is so durable.
And the aging, especially the great winkles will be generated
on the leather surface deeply depending on the profound feeling and hardness.

The liner is wool have a role for protection against cold,
moreover it switches to other material on the shoulder liner for convenient
to put through sleeves.

The shiny processing bring the flavorful brown color into prominence.
It will be removed gradually in daily movement.
In addition, winkles and the oil gradation make the surface steric atmosphere.
The Shiny Reverse Bison must be great leather that contains factors to enjoy the aging processes.

レザーだけに留まらず布帛等の多種多様なマテリアルが使用される事から、

写真の素材は”JP” 。
通称ヘヴィジャージと呼ばれる高密度且つ重厚なコットン生地はその名の通り日本の生地である。
特にコットンならではの馴染みや扱いやすさ、ジャージらしからぬ生地の強度には定評があり、
味わい深い経年変化も楽しめる。

The fabric on the photo is known as “JP”.
The “JP” is the high density and heavy cotton that is namely made in Japan.

m.a+を代表する定番作品の一つ”rider boots”。
マッケイ製法で制作されたプレーントゥのブーツは
シンプルながらもスタイリングの幅が広いことから
m.a+を語る上で欠かせない人気モデルとなっている。

The “rider boots” is one of the representative items of m.a+.
The plain toe boots made by Mackay Method is crucial popular model
of m.a+ boots because of the simple form and the variety for stylings.

マッケイ製法ならではの美しいフォルムを際立たせるのは反り上がったラスト。
この形状は足の形によく馴染み、靴の重みが足の甲全体に分散される為、
素晴らしい履き心地を実現している。

The upper that is wrapped upward to the top emphasizes the beautiful form.
This shape is the factor to gets to fit feet well

and to disperse the weight of shoes to feet.
Therefore it can realize the splendid comfortableness.

The ”rider boots camel leather” have used for 3 weeks.
The winkles on the upper make the oil of shoes move.

Consequently, color gradation appear on the leather that becomes visual solidity.
